Floating Rotor Drive System

The patented Floating Rotor Drive System is a highly innovative feature that is only available on DW hardware. Allowing the shaft to move independently of the rotor, your strokes power can go directly from the pedal board to the beater - maximum power with an exponentially smooth action. Using ball-bearings that reduce friction, the fluid motion of the pedal appeases players of all genres that require accurate replication of their kick stroke.

Designed for the Gigging Player

Made from aircraft-grade aluminium, the MDD Direct Drive Pedal is remarkably lightweight for its sturdiness. With DW being all about the player, it comes as no surprise that it comes with features thank help you make the pedal your own. One of these is the Tri-Pivot Swivel Toe Clamp. This clamp creates a confident grip on any sized kick drum hoop. Its adjustment is to the side of the pedal board too, helping you setup and teardown quickly.

Heel Plate and Hinge

What's the point in going for smooth, effortless action in the cam, sprocket and spring if the hinge holds you back? DW's patented Interlocking Delta Hinge is a an extension of this approach to smooth playing. Keeping the pedal board in line with the other mechanisms too, it allows the pedal to move freely and in the most natural motion possible. Attached to the contoured heel plate, its addition to the pedal cannot be understated.

Quick-Adjust Cam for quick alterations
