The Ludwig Accent Drive drum kit is a five-piece drum kit that is perfect for drummers starting out on their instrument. The Drive kit's 22" and 16" bass drum and floor tom will produce a deeper and louder sound than the smaller Accent Fuse kit. Included in this shell pack is a large 22'' bass drum, 14'' snare, a 10'', and a 12'' tom, as well as a 16'' floor tom. A three-piece cymbal pack is included with this kit consisting of a crash/ride and a set of hi-hats. The Accent kit also comes with a snare drum stand, hi-hat stand, cymbal stand, bass drum pedal and a drum throne. The 45-degree bearing edge provides a minimal amount of contact between head and shell, allowing for a healthy combination of attack and sustain. Ludwig has introduced a slight bevel into the outer edge of this design, slightly increasing the contact surface and providing more warmth and less sustain than a typical 45-degree bearing edge would.
Five-ply hardwood shells
A construction of select hardwood provides these drums with a bright tonality and a short sustain, along with a punchy sound to encourage accurate rhythms and playing clarity. The tonal brightness of this kit is also reinforced by the five-ply shell thickness giving a unique character to this kit.
Double ply heads
Each drum in this set comes complete with double-ply batter heads, which not only increases robustness but also improves the sound. This two-ply construction reduces vibrations and, like the hardwood shell, produces a shorter sustain to deliver a great-sounding kit.
