Key Features
The Hartwood Delta Bass in Green is a short-scale offset bass that brings together vintage style, modern feel and practical versatility. Designed in the UK by Hartwood, it features a contoured basswood body with a high-gloss green finish and bold offset styling. A roasted maple neck with a modern C profile and satin finish delivers an instantly comfortable feel, while the 16" radius laurel fretboard provides smooth fretting across all 19 medium-sized frets.
The shortened 30" scale length offers lower string tension and closer frets, making navigating the neck easier and faster. A split coil pickup in the middle and a single coil at the bridge give the Delta a wide tonal range, with a 3-way switch for quick switching between the versatile pickup configurations. The combination of solid hardware, stable tuning and great playability makes the Hartwood Delta stage and studio ready right out of the box.

Inspired by early offset bass shapes, the Hartwood Delta has a standout silhouette with player-first thinking behind it. The basswood body is contoured for comfort whether seated or standing, with deep cutaways for smooth upper-fret access. A high-gloss green finish and off white pickguard complete the vintage feel, while its ergonomic curves make it easy to play for extended sessions.
The Delta’s neck features a modern C profile, designed for smooth, comfortable play across a range of techniques and genres. Made from roasted maple with a satin finish, it offers a fast, low-friction feel that’s ideal for long sessions.
The 30” short scale length reduces string tension, making fretting easier and giving notes a slightly warmer, rounder sound. This compact scale also improves balance and ergonomics - especially when playing standing up - while still delivering the tone and punch needed for stage and studio use. A 16” radius laurel fretboard and 19 medium frets complete a responsive, well-finished playing surface.
The Hartwood Delta is designed for bassists who want flexibility without complexity. Its split coil pickup in the middle position delivers a warm, full-bodied tone with excellent low-end definition, while the bridge-position single coil adds bite and articulation when more cut is needed.
A three-way selector switch makes it easy to move between the round depth of the split coil, the sharper clarity of the single coil, or a blend of both. This setup gives players quick access to tones that suit everything from laid-back grooves to more aggressive, defined lines - ideal for switching styles on the fly.
The Delta is equipped with a four-saddle hardtail bridge for solid intonation and consistent performance. A synthetic bone nut and chrome die-cast tuners help keep tuning stable, while two string trees improve break angle across the headstock for better tuning response. These components work together to deliver a reliable, expressive playing experience on stage and in the studio.
