Key Features
The Flame Dual Key is a pingable trigger envelope module comprising of 2 modulators with A(H)D, A(S)R, and loop modes. The envelopes are editable, allowing you to adjust the length, shape, and level of the attack/release times to your taste. These can be adjusted manually, as well as by CV signals. Additionally, the Flame Dual Key features 3 play modes for both the channels including one-shot, gate, and loop, changing the characteristics of the envelope. Each modulator also features a button for manually starting its envelope, and the circuits generate a trigger signal after each envelope cycle.

The Flame Dual Key features 3 different play modes for the 2 envelopes. These can be activated either by the push buttons, or triggered by the gate inputs. The 3 play modes are one-shot, gate mode, and loop mode. Choose one-shot mode for the envelope to play one time. Press the button on the module to produce a one-shot of the envelope. With gate mode you to hold down the key to start the attack phase, hold the level of the envelope whilst the key is held, and then let go to start the release phase. The shape and time can be adjusted with the dedicated potentiometers. You can also play the envelopes in loop, similar to an LFO. The envelope is looped as long as the gate signal is present at the gate input, or the key is held down. The shape and time of the envelope in loop mode can be set using the potentiometers.
Both envelopes are identical with their functions. However, the left side features a logarithmic decay release phase, whilst the right side offers a linear characteristic. They both allow you to edit the shape and duration of the AR envelope, allowing you to adjust the slopes. There are 3 ranges between 1ms and 1 minute, which can be selected with the TIME range switch. This allows you to adjust the dynamics of your VCO to create a range of sounds. You can create slowly modulating atmospheric FX, or sharp, punchy percussion.
