Key Features
The MNTRA Instruments Pripyat is a virtual instrument which delivers cold and industrial tones for irradiated sonic landscapes. Designed to add an industrial character to your music, this library has been created with our unique approach to sampling and sound design. Featuring electromagnetic interference recorded at an electrical substation, vintage analog synthesizers processed through custom-made guitar pedals and Eurorack modular, Pripyat is sure to inspire droney, ambient textures in your productions.
The source material is vastly expanded within our proprietary MNDALA 2 engine, allowing you to create deeply textured soundscapes as well as pads, leads and FX. With 10 instruments deeply sampled with up to 18 round robins per velocity layer, a comprehensive range of 35 effects, creative sequencing and microphone mixing, you can completely reshape the sound of Pripyat and can all be controlled with your favourite MIDI controller.

Pripyat is our first exploration in the world of synthetic textures that channels our idiosyncratic approach to sampling and sound design. Our focus on the cold and industrial character of some of our favorite synth-heavy scores gave rise to a collection of radioactive soundscapes.
Our sound library features brutal electromagnetic interference with both its pure form and its re-amped versions through various acoustic resonators. We also included warbling vintage analog synthesizers processed through various guitar pedals and Eurorack modular effects. Clamorous ultrasonic recordings of dry ice on a rare Marimbaphone and a Bombo drum, along with additional percussion sounds, complete the package.
Derived from electromagnetic interference recorded at an electrical substation and unstable vintage analog synths processed by custom-made guitar pedals and Eurorack modular, our radioactive soundscapes can breathe new life into your music. With Pripyat, you can easily add a new dimension to your palette and inspire new creations.
Captured using bespoke recording techniques, every instrument in the Ultrasonic Pripyat library boasts unrivalled audio quality, recorded at 384kH/32-bit fidelity. Striving for a performance-oriented instrument, MNTRA Instruments recorded 10 individual instruments, each with three deeply-sampled velocity layers comprising 18 round robins each.
Built for the future, this advanced sampler engine comes with an array of advanced sound-shaping tools to bring your dream sound to life - all without the need for additional software. Compatible with any DAW that supports VST3 and AU formats, you can load the Pripyat and explore your creative potential to fit the requirements of your project.
Born out of years of research and development, MNDALA 2 is capable of reproducing extremely high audio quality of 24-bit at 96kHz, making it possible to edit, customise and playback the Pripyat instrument without compromising quality.
MNDALA 2 has six fully-featured samplers that let you load individual instruments with independent processing. With 35 different onboard effects, including reverb, delay, modulation, filters, saturation, and EQs, you can craft and customize your sound like a pro. Moreover, every instrument has been recorded in a multi-microphone setup, enabling you to tailor the spatial positioning per sampler to create a completely bespoke mix.
The global modulators, custom modular effects routing, and complex sequencing per sampler offer a near-infinite amount of customization and automation for your sound over time. The three Axis-animated performance controls condensed into one compact interface allow you to take control of up to 62 parameters simultaneously when mapped to your favourite controller - all with effortless hands-on control.
Striving to create unique instruments which stand out from the crowd, MNTRA don't simply create cut-and-paste sample libraries but instead lets you transform what you think is possible with traditional musical instruments. Rather than creating true-to-life replicas of existing sounds, MNTRA Instruments ventures off the beaten path, letting you experiment with sound design inspired by the natural world. Embracing the imperfections of musical instruments, you can record performances full of dynamism and ever-evolving sounds which move with every turn of a knob or lift of a fader.
