The MONTAGE M series is Yamaha’s flagship range of synthezisers, designed to offer exceptional sound design, flexible control and deep integration with studio setups. Featuring three models, including the M8X, M7 and M6. This lineup brings together next-generation technology with hands-on expression for professional musicians and producers alike.
Each model in the series shares the same powerful triple engine architecture: AWM2 for ultra-realistic instrument sounds, FM-X for dynamic FM synthesis, and the new AN-X engine for authentic analogue textures. These are all enhanced by Yamaha’s Motion Control engine, adding detailed modulation and real-time control across performances.
The M8X stands out with its 88-key GEX action and polyphonic aftertouch, offering an expressive piano feel and detailed control for synth layers. The M7 offers a 76-key version, ideal for performers who need an expanded range for splits and layered setups. The M6 provides a compact 61-key design with responsive action and aftertouch, well-suited for mobile setups and synth-centric players.
Additional features include up to 400 note polyphony, high resolution control, advanced DAW integration and an Expanded Softsynth Plugin that mirrors the hardware in your DAW.
